Goodman Special Operations Combat Knife with Sheath Of The Future

The Lou Goodman Special Operations Combat Knife (GSOCK), by Abraham & Moses, is a collaboration with master knife maker and veteran SOF soldier Lou Goodman. Combining Lou’s extensive combat experience and the world class engineering team at Abraham & Moses, the GSOCK is a tool that won’t let you down when your life depends on it. This full tang knife is 10.625” and features a 5.655” blade made from Carpenter Technologies PD1 steel. This alloy is able to be differentially heat-treated to create a 60 HRC cutting edge with a strong and ductile core. The G10 handle compliments a lengthened ricasso that allows the knife to be used for a multitude of tasks beyond cutting, from prying to small precision cuts. The lack of a choil to prevent snagging, and the option to purchase “The Sheath of the Future,” machined out of 7075 Aluminum and featuring active retainment, cements the GSOCK as true combat knife for a new generation of warfighters.

The fully ambidextrous Sheath of the Future is manufactured from 7075-T6 Aluminum with a nylon lining and stainless steel hardware. It features two attachment methods of securing to the owner’s kit: MOLLE/PALS or looping through a belt. Additionally, it features two methods of retaining the knife: a locking latch and a friction latch. These instructions will outline these features and best practices for the knife system.

Basic Maintenance

We chose PD1, D2 and 440C for our lineup because of their superior wear resistance and toughness.  These alloys stand up to the rigors of prolonged survival scenarios, when strength, edge quality, and long service life are top priorities. These materials only require basic care to continue looking great.  Clean the blade after use with mild soap and water, then dry and apply a light coat of oil.  Be mindful that more frequent care will be required in high humidity and salt water environments.  These simple steps will help to prevent corrosion and keep the blade in top condition for years to come.
