The Super Duty Mod1 Short-Barreled Rifle improves upon the renowned Geissele Super Duty with the addition of a HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 556 suppressor-ready muzzle device, an updated MK16 Super Modular Rail with press-fit stainless steel Quick Disconnect (QD) inserts, and an A17 Grip that presents a more ergonomic grip angle. The SD Mod1 updates several key components that ensure this high-end firearm will continue to offer the user unmatched accuracy, comfort, and performance.
Geissele provides the latest in weapon technology available. This 10.3” SBR chambered in 5.56mm features a nanoweapon-coated HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device mounted to an in-house 10.3” Manganese Phosphate coated, Cold Hammer Forged, Chrome Lined, 1-7 twist barrel. Geissele barrels are High-Pressure Tested (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI). The Geissele length gas system and Geissele Super Compact Gas Block (with bomb-proof installation) ensure reliability and optimal performance in extreme conditions and heavy use.
At your fingertip is the SSA-E X two-stage trigger, which provides unrivaled control and performance with a wide-body Lightning Bow® shape and Nanocoated components. Purpose-driven controls, like the ambidextrous Super Configurable Safety and Airborne Charging Handle, checkered magazine release and Maritime Bolt Catch provide superior interfacing with the platform.
At the heart of this SBR is the Geissele Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (BCG). Our Nanoweapon-coated carrier features a properly torqued and staked, Chrome Lined, Nanocoated gas key. The Cam Pin is machined from advanced, tool steel known as H13 which is also coated with Nanoweapon for maximum corrosion and wear resistance. The Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group features extended upper rails, providing greater stability and dramatically increasing feeding reliability.
The Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group comes with the Geissele Stressproof Bolt. Each bolt is rigorously inspected, high-pressure tested, mag particle inspected and Nanoweapon coated.
The Super Duty lower is precision machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and features Geissele’s Ultra Duty Lower Parts Kit featuring our Ambidextrous Super Configurable safety and Ultra Precision trigger guard.
A Geissele Quick Disconnect (QD) Sling Mount Endplate allows for fast interfacing of slings quipped with QD pushbutton mounts to the lower receiver. This rugged and reliable attachment point is machined from Stainless Steel that is finished in Black Nitride and staked per MIL STD. The B5 Systems Enhanced Sopmod Stock completes the package and an Airborne Charging Handle ensures smooth and reliable operation.

What is Geissele Nanoweapon?
Geissele Nanoweapon (also known as Picatinny DSL) is a family of Durable Solid Lubricant coatings which was developed by ARDEC. It is available exclusively from Geissele Automatics. We continued the development of Picatinny DSL so that its level of corrosion, wear and abrasion resistance is currently unmatched among firearm coatings. Nanoweapon is applied at low temperatures so that the underlying metallurgy of the part is non effected by the application process. Our coating also has a surface hardness roughly equivalent to synthetic diamond. This makes Geissele Nanoweapon harder than sand, easily rejecting carbon and making cleaning a breeze, on top of allowing the firearm to operate normally with less lubrication.
